media4charity attended the Railway Children’s 3 peaks challenge in the capacity of photographer.  160  hikers were shunted around in a chartered train between Snowdon in Wales, Scarfell Pike in England and Ben Nevis in Scotland. The photos are to be used to document the event, promote it and to sell to those that attended.

Fortunately I did not have to go to the top of every mountain, but have deep admiration for those that did and I can tell you there must be some sore legs out there now.

To sell photos of the event I have constructed an e-commerce site with zenfolio. This allows people to select and purchase the image they want. This can be presented as a photo or on a t shirt, a jigsaw or mug. It is a great way for those that entered to get a really original gift and for the charity to raise more money. Below is a slideshow of the event.

I am led to believe that £140,000 was raised from this event and was only possible by the hard work of volunteers, the respective railway authorities, Railway Children and those that participated.
